Lollapalooza Lineup Announced.

Well folks, the last of the big name North American summer festivals has been announced. Lollapalooza 2009 will once again take place at Grant Park in Chicago over August 7-9. The lineup isn't exactly shitty, but it does seem a little stale. It might be that Tool really isn't doing it for me these days or maybe that most of these bands have already been billed on the other festivals. Take a look for yourself and make some comments below. I will say that considering I was unable to attend Coachella and Bonnaroo this year, I would absolutely still consider this festival a viable option.

You can find the whole lineup here, but here are the highlights:

Depeche Mode
Tool
The Killers
Jane's Addiction
Beastie Boys
Kings of Leon
Lou Reed
Ben Harper and Relentless7
Snoop Dogg
Animal Collective
TV on the Radio
Deerhunter
Of Montreal
Bon Iver
Fleet Foxes

What do you think about this lineup? Leave a post below.

Usually i'm not really down with a lot of these festivals cause i do really find the acts to be stale. Kings of Leon are going to be very sweet though. i suggest to anyone reading this, though, to go take a look at the entire line up as i did. coheed and cambria is an unbelievable band live, easily top 5 best lives shows i've ever seen. and crystal castles for all your nerds/techno lovers is a group, who's live show consists of a drummer, a dj and a female vocalist and all of their songs are remixes of nintendo music. there are actually a lot of sweet bands on the bill and i think that if you go to it, you'll probably be able to fill your day with bands that you WANT to see, not just wandering aimlessly from stage to stage till you stumble on something.
